Rocket Fuel: Nerdy But Loveable

Get the inside scoop from current employees.

Benefits at Rocket Fuel

The benefits of working at Rocket Fuel go way beyond the traditional health, dental, and vision plans (although we have fantastic versions of each of those too). It’s pretty simple: We believe that you should enjoy the place you spend (at least) eight hours of your day, five days a week.

As a Rocket Fueler, you will:

COLLABORATE:

Meetings don’t just happen in conference rooms here. We see a lot happening in bean bag chairs, during walks, or outside on the lawn in any of our many beautiful, green open spaces.

BE ACTIVE:

Our ping-pong table is almost always being utilized. If ping-pong’s not your thing, you can find a team of coworkers for pretty much any sport you can think of, from dodge-ball, to yoga, to criquet… and more. Lots more.

STAY FIT:

Speaking of yoga, if you work in our HQ office, you’ll enjoy access to a world-class gym with plenty of cardio, weights, a rock-climbing wall, and two basketball courts. Oh yea, a heated pool too. And if you work elsewhere, you get a monthly fitness allowance.

STAY BALANCED:

As a full-time, exempt employee, you’ll enjoy UNLIMITED vacation/PTO. No, we’re not kidding.

EAT WELL:

Catered meals. Catered to every dietary need or desire. Not to mention our kitchens, which are fully-stocked with healthy snacks and fruit, including literally 12 different kinds of yogurt. And three, count ‘em—three—different kinds of gourmet coffee-makers.

HAVE FUN:

Happy Hour happens once a week. Play poker, chill out, and wind down with your co-workers after a long day. All made better with premium wine, beer, plenty of non-alcoholic beverages, and delicious appetizers.

ENJOY EACH OTHER!

One of the best benefits of working here is the people you work with. They’re not only super smart and passionate about what they’re doing, they’re also down-to-earth, easy to work with, and they love pushing each other to be better.

Can’t forget all the other awesome benefits that we offer our employees:

  • Medical/Dental/Vision plans, covered 100% for employees, 70% for eligible dependents
  • UNLIMITED PTO/vacation
  • Pre-tax Flexible Spending Account
  • Pre-tax Dependent Care Flex-Spending Account
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits
  • 401K
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan
  • Life Insurance

Details On The Recruiting Process

Joining a company is a big deal. In a good way! Before you start any serious relationship, you need to make sure that you’ll be happy, that you’ll be pushed to be your best, and that the chemistry is great between you and your future co-workers. We agree. This is a chance for us to get to know you, and you to get to know us. The TA team is committed to working with you every step of the way as we find out together if this is a good match.

Step 1: Recruiter Screen

If we think you could be a fit here, a recruiter will set up a time to chat with you briefly. The purpose of this initial call is to get to know you better, hear more about your background, and make sure that what you’re looking for in a career is aligned with what we have to offer.

Step 2: Hiring Manager Screen

As the next step, we’ll set you up to chat with the hiring manager, who can tell you more about the day-to-day details of the role, and dig a little deeper into your background. For this call, we recommend that you do some research about the role and the industry. Having questions is always a good thing.

OR Coding test (for engineering)
If you’re hoping for a spot on our Engineering team, now is the time where you’ll most likely take a coding test. It’s a coding test. That’s about all we can say.

Step 3: Onsite interviews (1 to 3 rounds)

Depending on the position, you can expect a couple rounds of onsite interviews. You’ll meet some members of the team, as well as other teams you’d be working closely with. Be prepared to talk about yourself, your skills, and what you bring to the table. We promise to be totally authentic here, and that’s all we ask of you: be yourself!

*If at any point you feel like you haven’t gotten an update in a while, don’t hesitate to reach out to the recruiter you’ve been corresponding with. We promise we haven’t forgotten about you!

What is the recruitment process like?

You’ll start with a conversation with your Recruiter. Usually this call is followed by a phone interview and then onsite interviews. Your Recruiter and Recruiting Coordinator will work hard to make your visit onsite comfortable and even fun.

Will I have to take a coding test?

Some Engineering teams may ask you to participate in a coding exercise to have a discussion point during the interview.

Will I have to “pitch?”

You might be asked to “pitch” if applying for a sales role. We want to see you in action!

How long does the interview process take?

Timing varies depending on team, role you’re applying for, and of course, schedules! Our Recruiting Coordinators and Recruiters work hard to keep the process moving as quickly as possible.
