Calton Chan oversees sales, account management, and solutions marketing for Rocket Fuel (U.S. and Canada).
Calton brings more than 18 years of online advertising, marketing, and sales-management experience to his role at Rocket Fuel. Before joining Rocket Fuel, he was vice president of sales at interCLICK, a behavioral online ad network. Prior to interCLICK, he was the managing director at BrightRoll, the largest online-video ad network and exchange. At BrightRoll, Calton was responsible for opening the first satellite office outside of headquarters, where he expanded the company's east coast sales and operations efforts. He was instrumental in growing BrightRoll's customer base and significantly increasing market share for the company. Prior to BrightRoll, Calton was vice president of sales at ContextWeb, a leading contextual ad network and exchange. As that company's eighth employee, he built its sales team throughout North America and created partnerships with leading digital agencies and advertisers, which helped boost large-scale revenue growth for the company. Prior to ContextWeb, Calton was director of sales for the Excite Network (iWon.com/Excite.com) and director of sales for About.com. He started his career in software sales for Autodesk.
Calton is a native New Yorker, born and raised on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. He now resides with his wife and two daughters in Long Island, New York. Calton received his bachelor’s degree in molecular and cell biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
