Eesha Khare, an 18-year-old student at Lynbrook High School in California, made a technological discovery that has the potential to change the future of how you use your cell phone.

According to CBS San Francisco, the student triumphed over 1,600 other finalists from more than 70 countries on May 17 at the 2013 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair held in Phoenix, Ariz. Her groundbreaking invention? A device that can charge a cell phone in 20 to 30 seconds. read entire article here >

On May 17 in Phoenix, Ariz., 19-year-old Ionut Budisteanu won first place at the International Science and Engineering Fair -- including a $75,000 scholarship -- for building a different kind of car than most teenagers are used to driving.

According to NBC News, the high school student from Romania invented a self-driving car that is far less expensive than other models that are already in the works. Budisteanu decided to use artificial intelligence in order to decrease the overall cost of technology in self-driving cars. read entire article here >

On January 22nd, George John spoke during Rocket Fuel's inaugural UK breakfast meeting in London. The hot topic? Big data, what it means for brands, and how it will affect the behavior of consumers from now on. Will analyzing petabytes of data in real-time become the industry standard? How can big data and AI support the marketing mix beyond display? George John explored these points along with Vincent Potier, former Managing Director of Vonage. watch the full video here >

Yet another beauty of big data and algorithms is that they are blind to human bias--something that human resources departments are now beginning to understand. A job candidate may be a great programmer, but if that person doesn't have an Ivy-league degree and a big-name employer on their resume, they're often overlooked by the humans who are choosing job applicants. Big data and algorithms look for what really matters: talent. With amazing accuracy. read entire article here >
